Discover what life as a doctor is really like through expert-led talks, inspiring insights and interactive experiences designed to bring a career in medicine to life.

Hear directly from doctors, healthcare professionals and medical students who have been where you are now. Learn about their journeys into medicine, what their roles involve day to day, the challenges they face and what it takes to build a career in healthcare. You’ll have the opportunity to explore different medical specialities, gain insight into the realities of working in healthcare and discover which areas interest you most.

Our speakers vary between events, but previous speakers have included an NHS A&E doctor, humanitarian doctor, internationally recognised Consultant Neurosurgeon, Ophthalmic Surgeon, NHS and Army dentist, and Cardiology trainee. Their diverse experiences offer a fascinating insight into the many different paths a career in healthcare can take.

You’ll also get involved in our interactive cardiac arrest simulation, giving you a chance to experience elements of clinical practice in a supportive learning environment.

Beyond discovering what a career in medicine involves, we’ll help you understand how to reflect on your experiences and communicate what you’ve learned. These are valuable skills for medical school applications and interviews, helping you turn your experiences into meaningful examples that demonstrate your interests, motivation and understanding of a career in medicine.

Whether you’re exploring medicine for the first time or preparing for your next steps towards medical school, this is an opportunity to ask questions, discover new interests and gain valuable insights from people working in the profession.
